Welcome to the website of the Bournemouth Beach Hut Association, we're working hard to make this a useful source of information for the hut owners and tenants of Bournemouth so please keep checking the site.

Our AGM was held at St Katherine's School, Rolls Drive, Bournemouth BH6 4NA on Thursday 29 March 2012 at 7pm. We have several questions to take forward to the council at our next meeting in May. We were brought up to date with Non-domestic rates and Local Government Ombudsman information. The minutes are avaiiable in the members area.

Channel 4 is looking for micro-design projects for an exciting new TV series.



Plum Pictures is making a brand new series for Channel 4 that will showcase some of the most innovative and stunning small-scale architectural projects happening around the UK .



We will be featuring anything where a small space is being transformed into something amazing, cool, quirky or beautiful. For example: beach huts, sheds, garden rooms, house boats, tree houses etc.



As part of the series we would love to film a beach hut being built or undergoing a complete renovation. We are looking for projects that are starting soon and will be completed by the end of the summer.

The AGM was well attended again and we were joined by Dorest police to tell us about the Beach Beat and Hut Watch Schemes. We were also joined by TLR Solutions to tell us about the Beach Hut of the Year 2011 competition and the benefits of the Beach Hut Insurance policy they offer at a discount to members. We alos had updates on the Local Goverment Ombudsman case and Valuation appeals.The minutes will be available soon on this website.

If issues crop up out of hours or you don't have your phone to hand, the RNLI lifeguards have mobile numbers for the Seafront Rangers and can help with lots of problems including prom cycling breaches and anti-social behaviour problems.

Do you let your beach hut out to help towards the rent?
Please make sure you display a copy of licence inside and ensure you highlight the fact that a term of your licence is that no more than six adults should be using your hut. You don't want to lose your licence if someone else breaches the terms.
